Fepanil Drops for Children: Use and Precautions
Purpose:
Relieves Pain and Fever: Used to ease pain and reduce high body temperature (fever).
Conditions Treated: Headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold in children.
Administration:
Oral Use: Give Fepanil Drops orally, preferably at a fixed time each day.
Food Intake: It can be taken before or after food, but it is best given after food to avoid irritation of an empty stomach.
Dosage: Follow the dose and duration prescribed by your child’s doctor based on age, body weight, and severity of the condition.
Vomiting: If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, let them calm down and repeat the dose. Do not redose if vomiting occurs more than 30 minutes after taking the dose.
Precautions:
Avoid Overdose: Do not give Fepanil Drops along with other medicines containing paracetamol to avoid overdosing and potential liver damage. Always check the ingredients of any other medicines.
Side Effects: Common but temporary side effects may include indigestion, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if these side effects become bothersome.
Medical History: Inform your doctor if your child has any blood-related disorders, allergies, birth defects, liver impairment, or kidney dysfunction. This helps in evaluating the suitability and dosage of the medicine.
