Sinarest Syrup is commonly prescribed for children to treat symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, sore throat, body aches, and fever. These symptoms are often associated with the common cold, hay fever (allergic rhinitis), and other respiratory tract conditions.
Administration:
With or Without Food: Give Sinarest Syrup to your child by mouth, with or without food. If your child experiences stomach upset, it may be better to administer it with food.
Dosing Schedule: Follow the dosing schedule provided by your child’s doctor closely, as it depends on the specific symptoms. Administer the syrup at a fixed time each day to help establish a routine.
If Vomited: If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the syrup, give the same dose again. Do not repeat the dose if it's already time for the next dose.
Duration and Monitoring:
Effectiveness: Your child may start to feel better within a week of regular dosing. Continue giving the syrup for the full prescribed course, even if your child improves, to avoid worsening the condition by stopping abruptly.
Side Effects: Minor and temporary side effects may include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, rash, and headache. These usually resolve as your child’s body adjusts to the medication. If side effects persist or become bothersome, consult your child's doctor.
Important Information:
Medical History: Inform your child's doctor about their complete medical history, including any ongoing medications and any history of allergies, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstructions, lung issues, skin disorders, liver impairment, or kidney problems. This information is crucial for adjusting the dose and planning your child’s treatment.
