Telvas CT LS Tablet contains two medicines that help control high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke.
Usage Instructions:
- Take Telvas CT LS Tablet with or without food.
- The dose depends on your condition and response to the medicine.
- Try to take it at the same time each day.
- Continue taking this medicine until your doctor advises otherwise.
Important Notes:
- This tablet contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more frequently, so avoid taking it within four hours of bedtime.
- Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit, even if you feel well. High blood pressure often has no symptoms, and stopping the medication may increase your risk of heart attack or stroke.
Common Side Effects:
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Altered blood lipids
- Frequent urination (a purpose of chlorthalidone to help control blood pressure)
Other side effects may occur, but most are rare. Read the leaflet that comes with your medicine and inform your doctor if side effects bother you or do not go away. Adjusting the dose or trying a different medicine may be possible.
Precautions:
- Not recommended during pregnancy.
- Consult your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, heart trouble, or diabetes.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it can further lower your blood pressure and may cause side effects.
